CDPAP gives Medicaid recipients eligible for home care services control of their care by letting them select their own caregivers, like family members or friends, and direct the care.
CDPAP Eligabilty Requirements
- Twenty-one years or older, reside in New York State, and qualify for Medicaid.
- Long-term health condition and need help with daily living activities.
- The ability to hire and direct the caregivers or have a representative who can.
Medicaid conducts a few assessments to determine eligibility for the program and the number of required hours according to the patient’s health condition. These Medicaid assessments ensure that people with long-term health conditions get the proper care to stay in their own homes. Our CDPAP caregivers get paid weekly depending on these assessments via check or direct deposit.
