what is cdpas

CDPAP, or the Consumer-Directed Personal Assistant Program, is a New York State Medicaid program that provides at-home assistance with daily living activities for chronically ill or physically disabled Medicaid recipients.

Through CDPAP, eligible Medicaid recipients for homecare can select their home health aides, such as family members or friends, without special certification or licensing. Patients or their representatives are responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and arranging backup coverage for the CDPAP caregivers.

If you or your loved one require at-home care and want to participate in the program, start the CDPAP approval process by submitting the CDPAP Form or contact us.

If the patient who requires care doesn’t have Medicaid and needs home care, we offer free Medicaid support services to help you enroll in the right Medicaid plan.
